Halloween countdown calendar

Wow! Time has flown and is been forever since I posted anything here! I'll start with a couple pictures of my Halloween countdown calendar that I just finished.this project was inspired by Margie Romney Aslett

Kaylee's Hawaiian Cake!

Time again, another cake for Kaylee! I think she is five this time, lol! She said that she wanted to have a party in Hawaii, so I tried to come as close as I could. I made a 3 tier round cake, and covered the outside with the tube shaped cookies, I wish I could remember what those darn things were called.

I made the cake topper from the Life's a Beach cartridge and my Cricut machine. I also made a topper for Aria since it was a joint party for both girls! Flowers were real, seemed like less work than making them, keyword it it seemed like less work! ;)

Cher Concert!

Last Wednesday, June 4th, I got to cross one thing off my bucket list!  I got to see Cher in concert.  Cyndi Lauper was the opening act.  Steve and Ray went with us.  Anthony's Mom Tina, Hb, and Grandma were also there. . . they sat right behind us.  My Mom and Janet were also there with Michelle and Elise, but they were on the other side of the arena.  Great minds think alike! 

Here are some pictures, our seats were good but off to the side.  A great time was had by all! 

 

Gotta love this shot of all of our luggage in the back of my little hybrid car!  The big suitcase was Ray's; he had to fly out the next morning for work, but hey, we were in St. Louis anyway so it really just saved him a trip. 

The concert was awesome as I had predicted!  Cher sang all the hits including my favorite, if I could turn back time!  You should have seen me dancing, I think there might be a iphone video clip somewhere!  lol.

Easter 2014

Sharing a few quick moments from Easter, a whirlwhind of a weekend as usual.  I helped cook dinner at Grandpa's house on Saturday night for my Mom's side of the family.  We had cranberry chicken, roasted brussels sprouts, texas potatoes and all kinds of other yummy treats!

Sunday evening brought an Easter egg hunt at Grandmas house.  These two had fun. 

Finally, we have Anthony, Tyler and Gage on the unicycle, no way this could go bad!

Window for Renae

Oh hello blog that I seem to have forgotten about! Sharing a few pictures of a window frame that I made for our friend Renae. I used old family pictures on this one. I love that her Mom had bought the window before she passed away last year; she wanted to start crafting.

I used Cricut and the Teresa Collins cartridge for the photo mats. I also used the dcwv Once Upon a Time stack for the mats and the rosettes which I then topped with Krylon glitter spray. I've had the chipboard forever, but I think it was from Fancy Pants.

Carter's First Birthday Party!

Just a few pictures from Carter's First Birthday Party.  It was held at the Eagles last Saturday.   Carter is the Grandson of my friend Steve. 

This is the banner that I made for the party, or for his room after the party.  Supplies included DCWV Safari Stack, Silhouette machine and Cricut, Don Juan cartridge for the letters.

Valentines Day 2013

Lots of pics, projects and memories to share here.
This is the box of paper that was planned for hsn. It should have been here a while ago but I screwed up and put the Marion zip code with my Johnston City address. Oops my bad!

Here are some projects that I made with the paper. I love the weight of American Crafts paper. It cuts like butter on the silhouette. I have also been enjoying sewing lately.

Now onto valentines day, Anthony worked, but these were my surprises from him. I love the orange roses, and I especially love the cupcake bouquet that he made for me. Red velvet cupcakes, yum!
Also, the banner that I made for him. Somewhere in there, there is a gift certificate for a pedicure also.

Finally, here Are a couple banners that were inspired, or copied from American Crafts. I made one for me, and one for my awesome aunt.

HSN Silhouette Valentines Projects!

Last Friday was another fun (even though it was short) day on HSN! I was shocked to receive a Silhouette cutting machine for Christmas this past year. I have to say that I really love this machine; it cuts better than any other electronic cutting system that I have ever used. Oh, yeah I really had to think on my feet on this one, Lisa mailed me some paper and supplies to use, but the box got lost in the mail, oh well, no stress! Good thing crafters are resourceful and can work with what they have on hand! Project time:
I call this one "36 Hearts" they are all cut from glitter paper, and then sewn together and layered with pop dots.

A very sweet trip to the Dollar Store on my lunch break at work last week. Yes, this was the first time I had left at lunch, and I set the timer on my iPhone lol.
You never know what you will find on my craft table late in the evening. This one happens to be a pile of heart "scraps" and a hostess cupcake that I was using for cupcake wrapper sizing.
